to stop your sim from aging…you have to make them cook the ambrosia and make them it eat…or make them eat life fruit to extend their life for 1 day!!!

In sims 2 there was a cheat:
boolProp testingcheatsEnabled true
and it let you control if they where like sleepy or hungry and stuff..
did they make one like that for the sims 3?
i just got the game and im use to having the easy way out :]

Can someone help me with a max skill cheat? also if you want aging off go to opiotns – game options – and click enable ageing – just click off the check mark

I have two normal looking married sims who had a normal looking child then got pregnant with twin girls when they came out they were invisible as infants and now that they are toddlers they have these huge misshapen arms that cross the whole screen you cant even see their faces its like some cruel joke! i have been trying the “edit in cas” hoping i could take them back to create a sim mode and make em look like normal children but it claims “edit” is an unrecognized command… has anyone made that one work ever or have any ideas for my poor babies?

One of my sims Kids from my family is a young adult now and I want to send him out in the “world” but when I tried the game cut me off from the rest of the family.

I guess my question is how do I stay in control of both households?

I have found out that eating Ambrosia will restore your Sim to the beginning of their current life stage. I don’t think there is any cheat to stop one Sim aging, so this is the only way (or you can eat a life fruit which will make them one day younger).

Just in case anyone else was looking for this as well, you need to max out your cooking skill to learn ambrosia, and the ingredients are death fish and life fruit. You need to max out your fishing skill, fish for an angel fish, and use this as bait to catch a death fish. The life fruit can be grown using a ‘special’ seed that you can pick up around the map.

I tried the ‘set age [number]‘ cheat and it didn’t work. Is there anything else I need to type? I’m trying to find out how to stop a particular sim aging (so her husband can catch up and she won’t be an elder trying to raise five babies!) Is there any way to do this or can you only set the aging for all sims?

You can turn aging off in the game options tab. Just slide the diamond all the way to the left side
