Erica: type shift ctrl c to get the cheat window to open in the top part of your screen. it’s a faded box, kind of hard to see.
Justin: you can set the aging to ‘epic’ in the (…) option area. I haven’t found a cheat for aging on/off just yet, but at least this will make it so your Sims won’t age for like 690 days or something.

To change traits enable the testing cheats:
“testingCheatsenabled true”
and then shift-click on your sim and choose “modify traits”.

on sims 2 the boolprop testingcheatsenabled true thing works to change the status of their hygene, bladder,fun, etc… is there a cheat on Sims 3 that will do that too?
They don’t properly explain some of these cheats in the book, I found.
First, type in TestingCheatsEnabled true
Then, SHIFT Left Click on the mailbox for the following:
1. Force service sim (warning, if you have a child or younger, & click on social worker, the child will get taken away).
2. Force visitor
3. Make friends for me
4. Make me know everyone
5. Make happy (everyone)
6. Make motives static/dynamic
For sim related,Shift Left Click on particular sim:
1. Modify Traits
2. Add to household (if not already in)
3. Age Transition
I haven’t been able to figure out shazaam yet, but I did find that once you Shift Left Click on the ground somewhere, you can Teleport there.

Also, once you’ve done the first part & your sim has a job. Use the active sim & go into the neighbourhood view, then:
Shift Left Click on job location
more job menus will pop up for you like opportunities.

I had a sim and she was a superstar athlete. I wanted her to stop aging so I put in “Age transition”. Then she turned old then I did it again and she died. That was the bad part. The second bad part was that she just turned into a superstar while i was playing and she died. So what I did was I didn’t save and I continued with her life as a superstar! Then she got pregnant and now she gets 4 days off. I love the sims 3!

On mine, i type testingcheatsenabled true and entre, that unlocks most cheats AND for me if i hold shift and click on any ground anywhere the option to TELEPORT there comes up!

click on options, then options again, then i think it is in the “GAME OPTIONS” (Im not sure) and you can decide to stop aging, stop the households doing stuff when your not playing with them and other stuff!

I am guessing by lack of replies, there is no cheat to get rid of the pixels when your sim is bathing or peeing…
I read somewhere that you are actually able to typr CTRL SHIFT C and click in between the cheat box and the lifetime happiness and it will work. And I think if it doesn’t you put ’shazaam’ in the cheat box.
*Or I think you type it click and press enter

Guys, the aging cheat DOES NOT work in Sims 3. You go to Game Options…and click Enable Aging. If the box is checked, then they age…if it is unchecked…they don’t age. And, the make needs dynamic/static…what happens is this:
Static- all needs stay green, and they are in the best mood possible at all times or until you change it to dynamic. (This works good for going on major collection sprees)
Dynamic- all need decay. This is what normally happens, they get hungry/bored/tired/have to pee…etc.

Once testingcheatsenabled true has been activated, if you hold the “Shift” key while clicking your active Sim. An option appears were you can edit your Sims traits.
Have a Ghost Baby (Without Killing)
How to do it:
- Set one of your Sim’s traits to Kleptomaniac (Sim must be female)
- Go to graveyard
- Wait until Sim steals remains or tell sim to swipe something (remains must be male)
- On the second day since stealing grave and putting it in home, the ghost will appear at 11:00pm and disappear at 4:00am it will appear every other day
- Socialize with ghost every night it appears until you are at best friend ghost will then begin appearing every night
- get fertility reward
- Confess attraction to ghost
- ask to snuggle on bed, kiss
- Try for baby every night until you start throwing up
- Congrats! You’re now having a ghost’s baby! (It will be born as a ghost that you can control)

Entry Location:
Must have a pregnant female
Eating apples will increase your chances of having boys!
(i.e. 3 apples = 3 boys)
On the other hand, eating watermelons will increase your chances of having girls!
(i.e. 3 watermelons = 3 girls)
**To have increased chances of twins or triplets have one or both parents have the lifetime reward of fertility treatment.
I heard this from someone else. I had my pregnant female eat three watermelons to test it out and it worked! She had 3 triplet girls.
Go to Pleasant Rest Graveyard, and near the gate, there is a strange bush called a “Death Flower Bush” - Harvest the flower from it.
If you keep this flower in your sim’s inventory, when you die the grim reaper will trade it for a second chance at life.
This flower will not reappear, but there are Unknown Special Seeds (requires level 7 Gardening to plant) dotted about near the graveyard (and a few other places) which may grow another Death Flower (and sometimes more if your Sim has the Green Thumb trait to revive the plant.)
You can turn aging off in the game options tab. Just slide the diamond all the way to the left side
I tried the ’set age [number]’ cheat and it didn’t work. Is there anything else I need to type? I’m trying to find out how to stop a particular sim aging (so her husband can catch up and she won’t be an elder trying to raise five babies!) Is there any way to do this or can you only set the aging for all sims?

I have found out that eating Ambrosia will restore your Sim to the beginning of their current life stage. I don’t think there is any cheat to stop one Sim aging, so this is the only way (or you can eat a life fruit which will make them one day younger).
Just in case anyone else was looking for this as well, you need to max out your cooking skill to learn ambrosia, and the ingredients are death fish and life fruit. You need to max out your fishing skill, fish for an angel fish, and use this as bait to catch a death fish. The life fruit can be grown using a ’special’ seed that you can pick up around the map.
DOES ANYONE ELSE WITH SIMS 3 ON PC CRASH WHEN THEY GO INTO BUY MODE OR BUILD MODE?
One of my sims Kids from my family is a young adult now and I want to send him out in the “world” but when I tried the game cut me off from the rest of the family.
I guess my question is how do I stay in control of both households?
I have two normal looking married sims who had a normal looking child then got pregnant with twin girls when they came out they were invisible as infants and now that they are toddlers they have these huge misshapen arms that cross the whole screen you cant even see their faces its like some cruel joke! i have been trying the “edit in cas” hoping i could take them back to create a sim mode and make em look like normal children but it claims “edit” is an unrecognized command… has anyone made that one work ever or have any ideas for my poor babies?

and it let you control if they where like sleepy or hungry and stuff..

to stop your sim from aging…you have to make them cook the ambrosia and make them it eat…or make them eat life fruit to extend their life for 1 day!!!
